The waitress recommended the Angus Beef which was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection, we also had the home made prosciutto with pasta, and local vegetables and wine. Nice place to relax, close to the Castello and Duomo great food and ambient music.
Where do we go when we want to feel at home away from home? Enoteca La Torre, where our friend Toni welcomes us with the daily menu, ranging from the restaurant staples (Prosciutto and Tagliata) to something new and creative that he cooks up for the day. Today's culinary surprise was all about pastas: we indulged in spaghetti with red Sicily prawns, another spaghetti with broccoli and cheek lard to name just the main stars of today's performance....all accompanied with the elegant Vertigo. We couldn't resist the homemade cantucci with our coffee. As usual, we will go back for more.
We went here for supper after arriving in Spilimbergo. Had the prosciutto for a starter, it was so soft and fresh it was amazing, can't get anything like it in Canada. Melted in your mouth and so flavourful, unreal. Had a main course of spaghetti with Bugatti cheese wow. One of the best meals we has in Italy. All kinds of wine by the glass. Very busy with locals and tourists.
Lunch on the occasion of the visit to the city, we found a fast service and friendly staff. Excellent cutter of sliced, cut thin and well presented; good also the first ones we tasted, in particular the spaghetti radicchio and gorgonzola. Very satisfying portions. Some doubts about tiramisù, served in a glass with little cream and a lot of whipped cream. Overall a positive experience, a stone's throw from the cathedral.
Great wine and excellent croutons, very friendly and friendly staff. Super recommended.
