Hotel Pacific - Southport

Located in Australia Fair, this pub offers great food and entertainment. I have dined here on multiple occasions and have never been let down.

During our return journey to Brisbane from an overnight trip to Byron, we decided to stop by Australia Fair and dine at a small pub located within the shopping center with my sister. After facing several disappointing food experiences in Byron, we both opted for the $11 lunch special, the parmigiana. The food arrived promptly and we were delighted by the generous portion of chicken served on our plates. The meal was a welcome change from our previous dining experiences and tasted delicious. The optional mushroom gravy we ordered was also a hit, despite regretting not ordering an extra serving. Throughout our meal, we couldn't stop gushing about how much we enjoyed the food. We left the restaurant satisfied and grateful for the great meal before heading home. If Hotel Pacific were located in Brisbane instead of the Gold Coast, we would definitely visit more often. Though the distance is too far for a casual lunch visit, we would definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that left us wanting more. Not what it used to be. A bit aged compared to its hey days in the 80's and 90's. Usual club environment with bar and meals.

Visited this venue for Lunch with my family a couple of days ago. A truly great experience. Fantastic Pub Grub. The Staff were friendly. The drinks icy cold and service was first class. We had Fish and Chips, Chicken Schnitzel and Banga's and Mash. My Dad is over 80 and he described the Banga's and Mash as the best he has ever eaten. He loved them and has eaten many examples over his 80 years.Drinks are at Public Bar prices and extremely reasonably priced. Everything was cooked to order and there was no great delay on the delivery of the food. You served yourself at the bar for drinks.Overall a pleasant dining experience - Great Aussie Pub Grub - Upstairs at Australia Fair Shopping Centre. Friendly easily accessible venue with reasonably priced food and drink and great service.Give it a try.
