Contribuiți la feedbackMostly burger and fried seafood. great location to watch sunset and fireworks above the bay. the service is ok. veggie burger, can not recommend it, probably the worst I ever had. for vegan I recommend the fish tacos minus the fish: mais tortillas filled with mango salsa, avocado and crushed cauliflower. very tasty. Vegans can also be with the chalupas (tostadas): bean, salat, tomaten on a fried maistortilla. but remember, fried beans can contain lard or speckfett. don't ask them to be. as mentioned, vegan meal times are hard to come on south padre. I give it 3 stars just because the fish tacos minus the fish are really good. updated by previous review on Monday, 18 January 2016 updated by previous review on Monday, 18 January 2016 updated by previous review on Monday, 18 January 2016
I attempted to order a veggie wrap without mayo, but they informed me it had to be made with the vegetables they had. So, I opted for the Texas Toothpicker instead, thinking it might be like veggie sticks. However, it turned out to be just a basket full of fried items, including pickles, jalapeños, and squash, served with ranch dressing. The basket was primarily filled with fried items, with about 80% being wobble, pickles, and jalapeños, and only a few slices of fried squash. There weren’t any other options available.
We enjoyed dinner here, and the food was excellent. The customer service was also very good. However, it is somewhat pricey.
I absolutely love the veggie burger at Pier 19; it reminds me of Thanksgiving! My only issue is that they're quite large and tend to fall apart since they're freshly made. A simple fix is to eat it as an open-faced sandwich after cutting it into smaller portions. It pairs perfectly with a side salad!
