Great place, lovely food and lovely staff. Our toddler even cleared his plate. Went back for a second meal but it was too hot and no outside seating left. Shame as we really enjoyed it.

This pub is an absolute gem. Not only are the staff wonderful, but the food is fantastic. The cherry on the top is their policy on dogs. I don't go anywhere without my dog so to have a fab pub where my dog can join me makes me very happy. I'll be back time and time again! Other pubs in Ambleside... this is how it's done!!

The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was excellent too. Will definitely go back next time I’m in Ambleside.

Came here with my wife and the food was really good, there was a small mistake as my mash arrived cold. I spoke to a member of staff named Nathan who made me feel like I mattered and went totally out his way to rectify this very quickly even tho the pub was very busy. He was very apologetic and offered me a free dessert for the inconvenience. Thank you Nathan you have great customer service I left a very happy satisfied customer and will return again on my next visit to the area
