The Keg Kitchen - South Lakeland

I spoke with a local who recommended this pub for great takeaway food, which was perfect for watching the football while the kids were asleep. We ordered 2 pizzas, curly fries, and loaded fries, and they were all delicious. The pizzas are probably the best in the area, and the loaded fries were so addictive, I couldn't get enough of them. I will definitely be returning when I visit again.

Amazing. I have visited the KEG several times and have always had a fantastic experience. I usually go there to watch football, as there are plenty of TVs and a great atmosphere no matter which teams are playing. The bar offers a wide selection of drinks at affordable prices, making it a great spot to meet friendly locals. The food is also excellent.

As a tourist visiting one of the busiest areas of England, I hesitate to criticize. The Keg and Kitchen is clearly a local establishment, catering to the needs and preferences of its regular patrons. If the locals at the bar speak with colorful language, who am I to judge? Perhaps the bartender's subdued demeanor is just a reflection of his day. Ordering coffee in a pub in a town full of coffee shops may be seen as an odd choice. However, the drinks I ordered were excellent, including a well-poured pint (despite being a lager drinker myself). I don't mind the lack of pleasantries from the staff; I appreciate the authentic hospitality of the Keg. I regret not being able to stay for quiz night, as all tables were reserved. This just speaks to the popularity of the pub. I must commend the management for maintaining the high standards of the establishment. While I felt out of place as a tourist, I can see why the locals hold the Keg in such high regard.

The welcome at the Slaughtered Lamb in 'American Werewolf ' was friendlier than here! Very embarrassing as, being the local, I 'd suggested it to meet friends from abroad. The barman was downright rude, unwelcoming and vile. I definitely won 't be going there again. On asking around today he apparently has something of a reputation and I 'm surprised this establishment survives. Avoid.

In here they give you good service and everything that is in the keg is worth your money. I would rate this a 5 out a 5 with all the service that they give and what they offer the food that is there is really good. Always checking up on how it is
