Bryson's Tea Room Bakery

The manager at this restaurant was very rude. The tea shop is located upstairs with a sign instructing customers to go up and wait to be served. Despite there being a queue, I was told to go upstairs. Accompanied by a disabled person, I complied and waited upstairs. However, a man approached me and instructed me to wait downstairs. I tried to explain the situation regarding the disabled person in my party, but he was dismissive and told me to go back down. I spoke to a staff member downstairs and requested to speak to the manager. The staff member informed me that the manager was upstairs. It seemed unlikely that I would be able to resolve the issue with him.

This shop has some amazing looking wedding/Birthday cakes in the window. So we decided to go in for afternoon tea. Don't need to book . Unfortunately there idea of afternoon is nip downstairs get big cakes from the left the overs then microwave the...scones to warm the up. Awful done bother. wasted. We should be complained but didn't.

Had to wait my turn to place the order, order the famous steak pie' which turned up as chicken s and mushroom. Nothing about the experience was pleasant. Wouldn't go there again.

We popped in for a coffee one rainy afternoon which was fine . The next day we thought we would go there for breakfast . We arrived at am to find it closed we went and stood at both entrances to see if we...could find a note explaining what the problem was , no note or explanation despite there being staff milling around sorting stock etc . We went for a wander and returned mins later still closed . Opening hours stated it opened at , very disappointed that the staff couldn’t take the time to explain the problem, won’t be returning.

Visited for breakfast and a coffee. For a family of five it was very expensive. We only had bacon sandwiches a tea cake with juices and tea/coffee and it was almost Waitress explained that some supplies had not been delivered. Sandwiches were made...with thin sliced bread not homemade as advertised yet were still priced at each !! Probably won’t visit again find somewhere better value for money.
