We were there with our 8 year old son and he had a lot of fun. Also in the climbing tower. The food in the diner at the entrance was also delicious. There are pulled pork burgers and French fries.
Thanks for making my step son’s birthday a great one! Prices were reasonable, especially on arcade games, and there was a lot of fun things to do. I used to take my nephew here when he was little and we always had a good time then too. 20 dollars extra on a pass when you spend 100 is totally worth it and we will be back next weekend!
Disappointing Experience at Sonny’s Place I visited Sonny’s Place with my six-year-old, on Labor Day 2024, primarily for the go-karts, but our experience was frustrating from start to finish. First off, the admissions area was unclear about pricing. I was sold a $30 package, thinking it would cover two go-kart rides, but it wasn’t obvious that this might not be the case. After a 25-30 minute wait for the go-karts, we were informed that they were undergoing “unplanned maintenance” with no clear indication of when they’d be up and running again. Disappointed, we decided to grab some food. The food area was chaotic. There was only one attended line, with the other “Food and Ice Cream” line left unattended. After another 25-30 minute wait (and no movement in the line confusion ensued as other customers started lining up in the unattended line, only to be denied service (by other customers! and sent to the back of the main line. To make matters worse, a parent awkwardly cut in front of me and several other families with no intervention from the staff, to corral the line. Frustrated, I went to get a refund (getting money back from their proprietary money card , inside. Instead, I was told that the go-karts were up and running again. But by that point, my child was too hungry and tired of waiting to bother. The entire experience was a huge letdown, especially for a six-year-old who just wanted to have some fun. Come on, everybody! Here are my suggestions for improvement: 1. Clearer Pricing: Ensure that pricing is straightforward and easy to understand at the admissions area. 2. Token System for Ride Delays: If there’s an unexpected wait, offer tokens or passes (or ANYTHING so that customers can return later without losing their place in line, or can decide to bail entirely. 3. Organized Food Service: If you’re going to offer two lines, ensure both are staffed or clearly direct customers to avoid confusion. 4. Customer Service: Show empathy when customers ask for refunds or express disappointment, especially when a child’s experience is at stake. 5. Better Management: Equip your staff with clear direction, especially when rides are down. If you take our money, be ready to refund it smoothly when things don’t go as planned. No hate on the employees who are working hard—but these problems should be worked out by management. It’s unfortunate that what should have been a fun holiday turned into an hour-long wait with zero enjoyment. I hope management takes these issues seriously to prevent other families from having the same experience.
We love going with our families. Plenty of things to enjoy. Bumping boats, race cars, zip line and two miniature golf courses. Food and ice cream available.
I have 7 year old twins who love the play structure! I can’t get them away from it when we go! $10 for a kid to run/play/climb themselves tired and having a blast doing it! Can’t beat that! Two different mini golf courses, we played one once and loved it! Many more rides and attractions. The staff is extremely friendly! Great atmosphere! I love the card system put your money on a Sonny’s card and pay for the attraction you want to go on or spend it at the arcade : great for the family and kids of all ages! : something for everyone! We will def continue to go :
