Food doesn’t match the service. Might’ve been the worst customer service I’ve ever received, we arrived over an hour before this restaurant closed but was greeted with “we close in over an hour, are you sure you want to eat here?” Immediately such a turned off. Then it proceeded with inattentive service and felt like we were an inconvenience. It’s unfortunate because the food was amazing but due to the the experience we most likely will never return. This was our first visit. We were surprised at the quality of the food and the choices. It was amazing. If you want a great high quality Italian meal this is the place. We arrived at 715pm as a walk-in which isn’t terrible but the waitress responded and asked if I had a reservation. I did not have a reservation. She gave me an apologetic tone and said, “I’m sorry we close at 9, the earliest we can seat you is 7:45” still implying it was too close to closing time. I said put us down for 7:45 and she was shocked I was asking for this. I’m sure the owner would be appalled, a waitress was pushing business away. While waiting, a part of three entered and she offered them a larger table to them prior to my party of two, which is fine since this is table management but she was very insincere about the request. The entire time she was so slow to clean tables and I watched another party of two leave before asking for a table. If they cleared tables more rapidly I’m sure they could seat more parties. There was a theme of a lack of urgency. After seating she offered to bring us oil and bread which she forgot after taking our orderI had to remind her. The food is actually decent, but keep in mind no cracked pepper is offered table-side. The aurora sauce is a little bland. The tiramisu is great! We were not checked on during the meal and I had to interrupt her as she talked aimlessly to another table for entirely too long. I requested an additional item. To top it all offthe check came with a predetermined tip amount (attached) where 30% was an option. What? That’s ridiculous. The actual cost for meals was pretty decent. This is one of our favorite spots to go for dinner when we are in the area. The portion to price ratio is fantastic, everything tastes fresh. Make sure to put in reservations as it is a smaller restaurant.
