Helen's Hot Chicken - Smyrna

When we came we met the owner, Joshua. He was so courteous and patient, giving us detailed descriptions of the menu items as well as the spice levels. While the food did take a while to come out (30+ minutes), it was well worth it. Everything was cooked fresh and to perfection. The chicken was so juicy and crispy and the French fries were perfectly seasoned. The food is definitely worth trying, and I would recommend ordering ahead to avoid the long wait.

Food was good but for me fried a little too hard (chicken tenders). My husband said the heat was perfect for him. We both loved the fries.Bathrooms were not clean: smell and roaches. Which makes me concerned for the kitchen.Due to everything being freshly made to order, and limited volume, be prepared for longer cook times.With a few changes this place would land a 4.5. Service was good as was decor!

My husband and I enjoyed an early lunch and it was delicious! The spices were excellent and everything was fresh and tasty. Some of the best catfish I’ve had in some time. Highly recommend stopping by. If you are in a rush I recommend calling your order in. We didn’t mind waiting. Quality over speed everyday.

I absolutely love this place! Every time I order I get my food and it's supposed to be ready, and the quality is unbelievable. I highly recommend!

First time eating here. The two people working behind the register weren't friendly at all . Not helpful in any way shape or form. Very rude .The food was really good . I went with the mild chicken wings and it a good level of spice I thought . I would definitely get these again .After we ate we cleaned up all of our trash as we should. The not so pleasant workers behind the counter started yelling at us for putting our trash in the trash receptacle. It didn't say out of service or don't use. Apparently there wasn't a trash can in it . How are we supposed to know .I would definitely eat at Helen's again based upon the food but it will never be at this location again that's for sure
