I went on a Friday night and the service was extremely slow. Took just over 40 minutes to get my food and the servers hardly came to check on me. The food portions were definitely not balanced for the price, but at least there are more options available now in Simi.
India food, yum. Friendly staff attentive. Good is curried and not too spicy hot. Enjoyed the feel of being in India and restaurant
It's a Friday night and our son wants Indian food. We settled on Bollywood and headed out. My wife and I do not have much experience with Indian food so we went in with an open mind. We started with an appetizer platter, and a cup of hot and sour soup. The mixed grill had a few fried morsels, one was sweet onions with a crunchy exterior, 2 big samosas, and chicken breast chunks in a red sauce. I'd describe it as a boneless Indian chicken wing. I think it's called chicken pakora. The appetizer was more than enough for the 3 of us. The soup was good, lots of garlic and ginger. The entrees were a mixed grill, chicken vendalu, goat curry, paneer butter madsa, rice, and a garlic naan and chili naan. The mixed grill was an assortment of meats served on a cast iron platter. A couple of chicken legs, a few pieces of ground meat and chucks of chicken breast. The goat dish and chicken dishes were served in little metal bowls. Both dishes were good. The sauces were both flavorful. Unfortunately the goat dish has quite a few small bones. I don't blame the kitchen the flavor was good it was just a pain to eat. I blame the goat. The naan was good. The heat from chili naan will sneak up on you. The meal was really good. We will comeback again to try more dishes. They have an assortment of Indian beers. The restaurant is small inside but it's beautifully decorated our server was friendly and patient with us as we fumbled with menu.
Such an amazing home wala food , great ambiance and excellent service , i dont miss my home cooked food anymore, i love to have it here.
On ghub the naan is called vegan, but when I went to the restaurant, they said that the naan was not vegan. So they just check everything and don't trust them to the GrubHub label. However, if they go to the restaurant itself to order instead online, they have sooo many options and they are so delicious. and the owners and chefs all know what vegan means and are formed over. it's expensive, but all that vegan I had is great. trust them and get them the sweetsepakoras
