Red River Brewpub - Shreveport

Great atmosphere for our 40yr high school reunion. Too bad LSU lost that same evening but seeing old friends softened the blow. Good memories always trump current short term disappointment. Thank God for forever friends at reunions.

My first experience: -All American burger: high quality, the bread set it off, very tasty patty and cheese combo. Loved it. -Heliopolis beer: loved it. Tried it next to a Michelob to fully appreciate it (from my friends Michelob) and after the friends tried my Helio they switched from the Michelob. I had no idea how bad a mass produced beer is. -Cheese curds: best cheese appetizer I’ve had. Very good. This was probably the highlight of my visit. The more I eat here the less I like it. I have had the burnt end tots, pulled pork chips, cheese curds, burgers, and turkey melt. While it is all edible, it is much more enjoyable after multiple beers or drinks. I don't recommend being the DD and expecting amazing food. Most of the drafts are not my taste. I have had a few that are decent. The soda is fantastic so there is a little hope for the DDs out there.

Great place with a laid back vibe. Our Labrador was allowed in at our table. My husband had the Captains Reserve Porter. I'm not a beer drinker but that had a really nice chocolate flavor. We also had the Queen Burger and Brewchick Chicken Salad on Croissant. Both came with homemade chips. Everything was delicious!!

Great experience. Had the Brewhouse Bacon Jam Burger and ate on the patio. Fun and relaxing atmosphere.
