Home-cooked meals in generous portions! My father and I stopped by this restaurant during our travels, and we were greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service. I tried the corn jundash, while my father opted for the biscuits and gravy. We've sampled these dishes at many places, and I can confidently say this restaurant ranks in our top three. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a satisfying meal!
Ken, the owner and chef, does an incredible job crafting delicious dishes! There's a secret menu that changes regularly, making it perfect for when you're craving something unique. Unsure of what you're in the mood for? No problem—the friendly staff will gladly assist you in finding the perfect choice to satisfy your appetite. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!
I really enjoyed breakfast here, and what stood out to me the most was the charming city atmosphere. The service was friendly and inviting, reminiscent of the warm vibe of Cheers. I'm proud to live in a city that has such a wonderful place.
To make matters worse, the owner, Ken, wouldn't leave me alone after I expressed my concerns, even going so far as to contact my friends. I blocked him, but today I received a call from a close friend about this situation. Ken claims he has never received a complaint, which I find hard to believe, especially since he deleted my review after I rated him a zero. He even accused my husband of being unfaithful and called me a liar multiple times, saying that the breakfast bar isn’t suitable for kids. Yet, there was no sign indicating that children were not welcome, so I don’t see why my concerns are invalid. I have nothing to gain from lying; I simply want to alert others about this issue. I advise anyone considering dining here to think twice before allowing their children near the breakfast bar, where they can see and read these inappropriate materials. I challenge diners to observe the cooking area for a few minutes; you might see some things that will make you uncomfortable. Perhaps the owner will take my feedback seriously and focus more on cleanliness and proper food handling. On a positive note, the new waitress who started this weekend was polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the previous one was quite the opposite, rolling her eyes when we ordered pancakes instead of offering syrup. Ken, if you truly believe you acted appropriately, I encourage you to apologize for calling me a liar and my husband an adulterer. I’ve been a patron of this restaurant for over 25 years, dating back to when Chuck and Cheryl owned it. We have a commitment to supporting local businesses, but we might have to shift our loyalty elsewhere, perhaps to the Log Cabin, which has a good reputation, or another place across the street.
