Captain Benders Tavern - Sharpsburg

We love Captain Benders! We live nearby and Benders is our destination for dinner. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Monday night trivia is also great fun! Some of our favorites are the crab dive, the Hub City Salat (with its delicious homemade honey lime pistachio dress), the Old Bay dry wings and the Pommes Frites. Stop when you're in the area!

The food was very delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We ate outside and were disturbed by the smell of the garbage while you are out close to the garbage can. This is a place you go for food and not atmosphere. It's not a thrill.

Benders was a beautiful change from the typical franchise restaurants. The food was great, the drinks were great, and it was brilliant to have a menu selection to buy the kitchen a round. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The only recommendation I have, please update your tables and chairs. This place is in a great location and should be appreciated more.

Great wings, great atmosphere. Small town bar with inviting atmosphere. Whether you are local or not, you should definitely drink for a bite or a bite.

I came down to visit Antietam National Battlefield and stopped here for lunch. They have a very nice extended menu, nice menu of craft beers as well. This is a great hometown bar that serves good food at a fair price with a smile from the staff. I highly reccomend a visit here if you're passing through. Really good folks on this establishment.
