They weren’t seared at all (w/a nice little crust) but rather steamed, then warmed up – rubbery terrible. The beautiful photo I saw in a local magazine featuring the same scallops at Southfork wasn’t even close to the actual entree provided. The chopped salad, however, was excellent and the warm evening made sitting outside a delight and the staff was accommodating to my smoking friends. Also the bar is a lot of fun thanks to friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Too bad the chef didn’t have a clue how to cook scallops.
This charming little restaurant that was looking for a sitdown lunch. The salmon with Risotto was excellent. Fish was perfectly cooked and dish was tasteful and generously cut. The entire atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed and casual, but very suitable for a business lunch (I had a customer with me). Our waiter very friendly and attentive, without being annoying and even offered to go cups for our drinks when we were gone. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
At first, we never had a waiter all the time when we had eaten there, we had three total waiters who were tender the bar that served very busy drinks. Then we ordered Calamari for appetizers, which proved to be 1/3 Calamari and 2/3 roasted banana peppers. That was only the small inconveniences that the food itself was terrible to God and did not want my worst enemy to smell it even. Then when we asked after the check, it took 20 minutes to return the check and when he returned the card, I was in the bathroom and looked at my girlfriend and said, you really pay him? Why would you ever let that happen? that was above all sincerely respectful and simply rude that ever accept!!
It was a beautiful experience. The food was delicious, but there was nothing excellent EXCEPT for the incredibly baked Brie appetizer. I recommend that. The gnocchi was a bit gummy, but the sauce was nice.
I had Calamari rings the chicken pancakes here, both of which were pretty good. You can tell the quality of a restaurant on its seafood, and the freshness of Calamari was a good sign of the meal to come. The pancake, while definitely delicious, has mixed me a little. A chicken pancake for me is essentially a cake only with chicken, potatoes and vegetables as filling. The South Fork Grille's Pot Pie is more a thick chicken soup with crispy biscuit on top. Just a very surprising variation. In the end, I enjoy the South Fork and think that you are a good place for the end of shopping-eating data.
