Sometimes you have to wait a little. Food was ok, but too small portions for too much money. The noodles could have been more cocked, but the Maple Pecan Cake was good. Updated from previous review on 2022-05-24
The food was great, and so was the service!! I can’t wait to come back
We ordered the Champignon Pizza and Pasta with vegan meat sauce. The mushrooms on the pizza were cooked very nicely but we found that the sauce of both the pizza and the pasta were lacking a bit. The owner was extremely kind with our take out order and even gave us a Ginger-ale soda as service. Unfortunately I wasn’t blown away by the food even though the reviews are good. Maybe it is just my preference of pasta and pizza as an Italian person.
This is a small restaurant run by a French-Canadian Korean couple serving home-cooking style food. Their menu features Western dishes such as pasta, lasagna and so-called pizza made their own, veganized way. Their pizza, for example, features a flatbread as the base and is thus totally different from classic pizza (be that Italian or American pizza for you). Overall, the dishes we had were simple and subtly flavorful. While sauces are generally home-made, the noodles, gnocchi and pizza dough are not. The owners are vegans themselves, they use vegan sugar and sell only vegan wines and beers. Certain ingredients are organic as well. The location is quite small: There are four tables for a maximum of 10 people, and seating can be a bit uncomfortable and cramped. The restaurant operates only on weekends and it may be difficult to get a seat without waiting outside. Making a reservation ahead of time is not possible.
