Remedy Churchtown - Sefton

I have been a patron of Remedy for years and can confidently say that it has the best coffee in Southport. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it one of my top choices for breakfast or lunch. Unfortunately, the staff's behavior has been disappointing and I feel compelled to leave a review after multiple unfriendly encounters. It almost seems like they are irritated when customers walk in and support their business, especially if you have a child or a pram. The greetings are cold, unaccommodating, and sometimes outright rude. In particular, Amber doesn't even try to hide her disdain and has even audibly huffed in the past. As a business owner myself, I would never want my guests to feel the way my friends and I have felt at Remedy. Despite enjoying the venue and being able to overlook slow service and having to fetch menus, I draw the line at hostility. It seems that other reviewers have had similar experiences, which the Owner has not responded well to. I want to clarify that my feedback comes from a place of wanting to see improvement in basic customer service. However, Emma stands out as a bright spot with her warm and welcoming attitude. She is a true asset to the establishment.

I was meeting up with a close friend in the neighborhood and unexpectedly discovered this hidden gem. After a leisurely walk through the Botanical Gardens and exploring the charming village of Churchtown, I decided to have lunch and catch up at Remedy. Despite the nostalgic atmosphere of Churchtown, Remedy offered a menu with modern options and a wide selection for vegetarian diners. The service was excellent and the overall ambiance was warm and inviting. I highly recommend it!

I recently took my two energetic grandsons on a visit to the lovely botanic gardens, and we decided to make a quick stop at Remedy in Churchtown. The staff at this little gem of a cafe made us feel incredibly welcome, and the coffee was absolutely delicious. Although we didn't have any food on this visit, I have dined there before and the food was spot on and freshly made. Be prepared to wait a little longer for your meal, but it's worth it for the freshness. I highly recommend this place and its wonderful staff.

Disappointing staff attitudes. Unwelcoming, unfriendly...felt like we were an inconvenience. Elderly deaf man on mobility scooter parked up and came inside asking for directions. Staff were very rude to him. We just had our coffees and left. Food and menu looked ok, but we didn't try it.

Absolutely delicious veggie breakfast cooked to perfection. Lovely service. Sat outside, lovely decor. Definitely recommend.
