I don't think the skewers are anything special, but almost everything else on the menu is great. Their sukiyaki is solid, and a pretty decent price. I absolutely love getting their rolls just because of the price, and then opt for the good nigiri for the fish I really want to enjoy. If you don't know what to get, the Chirashi is a great choice. I've also asked for Salmon only (Pretty much a Sake Don), and they've accommodated that.
Cheap but better come before 8pm if you want to dine in.Food: 5/5
Not sure what's so special about this place. Nigiri (smoked salmon and regular was bland (didn't marinade? and unagi was rubbery. They probably microwaved it as I heard plenty of beeping noises in the kitchen. Self service for tea and water. They dumped out the tea dispenser at 8:45 pm, 15 min before closing on a Fri. I then asked for water and was told they stop at 8:45. How hard is it to give some water? Not coming back.
This place is a hidden gem. The prices are really good and the portions are more than generous. We ordered Chirashi and chicken Benton to go and they both were delicious. Especially the rice was cooked perfectly! Probably the best rice I have ever had in Seattle area.
Compared to other chirashi bowls (Fremont bowl or Seattle fish guy), this is the most worth it (you get all the fishes and the portion size is enough imo and the rice is so good) I always take the bowl for to go though just bcs the place doesn't look very hygienic so idk how it would feel like eating there!
