Oh my god. The city of seattle should shut this place down. I ordered via DoorDash a Chicken Pad Thai. For one they have spent very little time designing their ordering system on DoorDash so you cannot alter your level of spice or modify the product in any meaningful way. Sadly the noodles were mushy and overcooked as well upon receipt. Additionally I ordered a Thai Ice Tea with Coconut Milk. I received the beverage and it was visibly curdled. Upon smelling it, it was foul and made me gag. Little specks of white flakes were floating in the drink. Upon dumping it out into my sink, big white clumps came out of the cup and plopped into my sink. I was absolutely disgusted and glad I didn’t try to drink this. I’m certain I would have gotten sick. I get coconut Thai ice tea all the time from 2 different local restaurants. I know what is normal and what is not. I will NEVER be ordering from or visiting Thai 65 Seattle U District location ever again. I strongly urge others to avoid it too.
Still open. I got pad Thai from here it tasted like sweet watery ketchup. So gross. I hope they figured out what's going on
I have to admit that this place was my guilty late night pleasure when I lived in the U District. Quick, cheap and consistent! I also have to admit that I always get the same thing here, chicken drunken noodles and a side of pad thai. So maybe it's not the most amazing version of pad thai, but the drunken noodles is definitely the reason I keep coming back. Firm noodles and a nice portion of chicken all tied together with lots of peppery goodness. It's enough to be considered two meals but I have no self control so I usually eat it in one sitting. The building itself isn't anything spectacular and you can tell that college students have eaten here for years by the wear and tear on the seats. Sometimes I'll bring the siblings here but most of the time I'll get takeout. A solid meal of good portions for less than $10. They have the challenge of eating a pound of pad thai. I've watched a few people attempt, but have never seen anyone finish. They also have a buffet during the day. Since it's on the Ave, the parking is nonexistent. But we don't really need a car in Seattle do we? The staff is average and the cook staff always wears those masks. No need to panic, you don't want to inhale peppers and spice all day.
I am being very honest the food sucked. The meat was dry and the rice was hard. I would not eat there again. We ordered food late at night. But that does not mean your customer should get bottom of the barrel food.
