Contribuiți la feedbackOh, my heart. I’ve been in love with the Fort for so long I’ve never thought to leave a review. It is the quintessential iykyk Seattle spot. To the untrained eye you might not even know it’s there and if you DO?Take a friend and feel like you’re letting them in on the best kept secret in Seattle. Because you are.As you’re walking up the stairs to an unassuming second floor office building location over a travel agency ! your friend will be confused but see…you know about the strong drinks. The homemade izakaya pub style food. The weirdly amazing Spaghett. Get the Spaghett. Get the spicy fried chicken for the love of all that’s holy. The French fries are stupid good. As is the curry. So many options. And if you ever happen to be there when they have the late night onigiri you better get one for me because it’s the only thing on this earth that reminds me of my own long-past grandma in a way so visceral it’s like I’m a kid again.I mean, if you don’t get it I get it. But I’ve never had a bad time or a bad meal in all the last seven years I’ve been going. And I’ll go til the end of time because even though I live an hour away, this place is somehow home.
Best Japanese restaurant in Seattle, I make sure to visit at least twice every time I’m here. The food here cannot get any more authentic, it feels like I’m a kid in Fukuoka again. It also has the only place in the US (as far as I could find) with melon soda that most closely resembles melon soda in Japan. Cannot recommend enough, a must visit if you’re looking for real, authentic Japanese comfort food
Really interesting place. Definitely a great place for happy hour. It was incredibly warm inside the restaurant and all the fan did was move the hot air around. The server was fantastic though and had a great attitude about it all. I could definitely see this being a regular happy hour spot for us during the colder months.Food: 4/5
Came here because we noticed this place has been here for almost 30 years. Had perfect portion and fast friend service. Here's what we ordered1. Beef curry with spicy chickenIt had more than enough flavorful sauce and was very filling.2. Zaru soba with tempuraBalanced sauce with perfect noodles.3. Bacon and mushroom doria (gratin over rice)Cheese goodness. Period.4. Beef tongue.Delicious. if you like brisket at kbbq you'll enjoy this.5.takoyakiVery standard takoyaki can't go wrong.6.tonpeiyaki (okonomiyaki-ish with squid)Like and omelet with squid, couldn't eat this but my friends said it was very flavorful. There are also specials from time to time. Would recommend.
I visit this place mainly with folks after I pick them up from the airport. It's open late, has a relaxing, homey vibe, and has perfectly fine tasting food. Nothing is surprising here and you get to spend an hour in a pretty neat bar area that overlooks Hing Hay park.A great place to grab a draft, sit down, take deep breath, and exist.Curry is yummy, their pork cutlet is good. The Doria is kind of awesome, would recommend if you like risotto-esque dishes.Everything else I've had here is perfectly fine!
