Ballard Annex Oyster House - Seattle

We were in town from San Diego and my friend that lives in Ballard suggested this place. Coming from SD where our seafood is pretty good, I had the highest expectations for this place. It did not let me down. Excellent oyster selection. Our server was spot-on with the description of our oysters. I had the Crab Gnocchi. Full of fresh crab meat. The gnocchi was perfect and the sauce was so good, I had to ask for a side of bread to soak it up. My husband got the Mussels and Parpardelle. Yum! The pasta was the best and the mussels were tasty. I would order the mussels if I came back. One of our daughters got the Fish and Chips and she loved it. Our other daughter got the burger and even the burger was great for a seafood restaurant. I will be dreaming about the gnocchi, parpadelle and oysters when I get back to San Diego.

I love the happy hour here. Sure it's a sizable portion of fried food but I can balance it out. Sat at the bar for the first time and it was great for people watching and chit chat with the busy bartenders. I was in awe of the steamer pots at the bar. Oysters are always amazing. Took the bartender up on his recommendation of sautéed baby octopus. Fried prawns and steamed mussels are always good. I usually top it all if with bubbles but this was a beer night and Stella did the trick.

Always great! $2.00 happy hour oysters. Their chowder and crab rolls are delicious Courtney had Crab salad and chowder. Topped off with goose martini (with a lemon twist and a stormy Monday cocktail. What could be better in Seattle March. Oysters, clams, crabs and citrus cocktails. With a pretty, young, local date. Thanks Courtney

I love this place! My best friend found this place a few years back and we can not get enough! Best oysters, fresh horseradish, awesome mimosas and more. Highly recommend!

This is my new favorite restaurant. The selection of oysters is outstanding, have them serve a sampler plate of the best of the northwest! The scallops on mushroom risotto are the best scallops you will ever eat,(I didn't like the faro it was served on once but the scallops were still divine! Superb cocktails, I love Sea Glass and North Beach. The Annex has provided all of my guests with a superb experience and the knowledge and expertise of the servers has impressed us all. I this restaurant!
