It was my husband's 50th Birthday so we went here to have their Sunday Roast. Such a warm welcome with celebratory decorations on our table. Food was delicious and the staff friendly. It's one of our favourite places as we always enjoy. Thank you. xx
The service at this restaurant was top-notch and the food was delicious. We celebrated our daughter's special birthday with 30 guests. The drinks were flowing, the courses were served beautifully, and the kids received special attention from the staff. Despite being busy, the staff did an outstanding job of taking care of everyone. We also ordered a birthday cake made on-site, which was not only a work of art but also incredibly tasty. We highly recommend this venue and believe it is a must-visit.
Stopped for one night on the way North and we were not disappointed. Staff were welcoming and efficient and our room well equipped and comfortable. The highlight of the stay has to he the food. Dinner menu is extensive with all food beautifully presented. Breakfast cooked to order was the best we have had in years and far outshone many 5star hotels. Bedrooms are in a separate building so need a jacket or umbrella in bad weather to reach dining room. The bedroom block is an older building so there was some noise from other rooms. Other than that our stay was perfect. Great location for visiting Peebles or breaking a journey North
My partner and I were looking for a place to have dinner and stay overnight near Peebles to celebrate our anniversary. After spending the afternoon in Galashiels to see the Scottish Tapestry, I remembered having holidayed in a caravan in Eddleston in the 1960s and visiting this restaurant. The cost of staying overnight here was almost half the price of staying in Peebles at my first choice. We arrived at 5pm, settled into our room in the converted village school, and enjoyed a drink in the bar before dinner at 7pm. The meal was fantastic, followed by another drink in the bar before heading back to our room. Breakfast was included in the room rate because I had booked through their website. We will definitely return in the future.
