Mikes Diner - Schenectady

I thoroughly enjoy a nice roadside diner, and this one definitely exceeded my expectations! The server was fantastic, the restaurant was impeccably clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. The cinnamon pancakes were a highlight that I highly recommend trying. Even a basic meal of eggs, bacon, English muffin, and coffee brought back fond memories of cooking with my grandma in her kitchen.

I had a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant. They offer a variety of options, generous portions, and quick and efficient service. The corned beef hash is the canned variety (which I anticipated and believe it has its place), but it was tasty. The hash browns are definitely a standout item on the breakfast menu.

Mike's Diner was the BEST diner experience I have ever had. We entered, we were seated and while waiting for the rest of our party, out table settings were placed on the table with menus. Two others from our party were seated and the server took our drink order and brought the drinks immediately. She took our breakfast order and we had our food no longer than ten minutes. The food was hot and delicious. Our server was attentive and we left happy and full. My only criticism would be that it is a touch pricey (but that is true every where these days), and that the beverages, though the iced tea, served iced with lemon and perfectly brewed, was in a 6 ounce glass for $3. Free refills on those would be nice. All in all, this was a pleasant dining experience. The food was wonderful and our server was experienced and just the right amount of friendly. Next time, I will take pictures of the Belgium waffle with caramel and pecans and the sausage gravy over biscuits. 5 Stars ..

I visited this restaurant to try out their breakfast menu. I left feeling satisfied and content. The staff were all very friendly. The French toast was cooked to perfection, the bacon was crispy, and the eggs were fluffy, just the way I prefer them. What stood out the most was that my food was served promptly and piping hot.

Quick and polite service which is what I needed after just leaving my doctor's office. Had to fast over night and I was definitely hungry. I was able to enjoy my breakfast before I was on the road toy next appointment. Eggs over medium, toast, and home fries what a happy meal.
