Our only concern was that the meal was somewhat on the cool side as opposed to being hot! It was not sufficient to send back but was getting very close. Other than that the entire outing was good.

The food is good and copious, If you dont want to have lunch and just wait from breakfast until dinner, you will be adequately fed here. The kitchen can be overwhelmed if you come when there are a lot of others, so try to pick a non-prime time for dinner and you wont be frustrated by a ridiculous waiting time. For us, dinner at 7:40 meant waiting 45 minutes for a simple caesar salad to appear. When it DID appear, it was excellent, BUT.... My impression, as a first time visitor to S S Marie is that t his is likely the best place to eat in town.

Four of us dined at the View restaurant and enjoyed our meal. The menu was a different one from our previous dinner there four months previous and we appreciate the fact that the chef keeps the menu fresh and new. The service was friendly and attentive. The view of the St. Mary’s River from dining room (and outdoor patio in season) is beautiful.

Fantastic staff, nice location, we came as locals (not hotel guests) and we'll be back!
