Gliss Express - Sault Ste. Marie

I completely understand that it's a small airport, but there is a chance to create an amazing restaurant in this location. However, the current restaurant is mediocre.

I had the chicken goat cheese and cranberry wrap for lunch and it was so good. You could tell the cranberry mixture was homemade and not from a can. The pairing of the goat cheese and cranberries was simple yet very flavourful. I didn't order a side to go with it as the wrap was just enough for me. It was delicious and I would definitely eat it again and go back to try other food as well.

I hadn't had a meal before my flight, and there weren't any restaurants on the way to the airport from the city, so I was hoping the airport would have more than just vending machines. To my delight, when I arrived at the airport, there was a small diner. I was extremely hungry and willing to eat anything. The diner turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It appeared to be operated by a father and his daughter, both of whom were very friendly. I ordered a hot hamburger sandwich which was absolutely delicious! The meat was fresh, never frozen, the fries were hand-cut, and everything was smothered in gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Next time I am in Sault, I will make a point to skip the restaurants in town and eat at the airport diner again!

From the welcoming and pleasant greeting to the attentive service and then the excellent meal, this experience was more than we had hoped for. The generous portions were well worth the price. To cap off our satisfaction the featured music was a wonderful touch. What a talent! This will surely ensure that we will stay at The Quality Inn on subsequent visits in the hope that we have a repeat experience at Gliss. Special thanks to Mitch. The customer service at Gliss Express is awful. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and was treated as if I were a burden. The cashier was rude and refused to give me a side with my sandwich. Despite informing them of my allergies, the sandwich still had the ingredients I couldn't have. I was charged more than I should have been and was treated very poorly. Additionally, we were asked to leave five minutes before closing. I could even hear the cook complaining about my order out loud.
