Prime Rib was incredible!! Staff is great! Could use updating, a little old, but the food was great and prices reasonable! Bar was great size, lots of room!
Good local place. Pizzas are great, as was the chicken parm (big enough for two) and the charcuterie.
Why did we wait so long to return?. Easter Sunday and we needed to eat at a restaurant. It couldn 't be a brunch or a buffet, so our options were limited. We hadn 't been to Panza 's in many years but it had always been enjoyable in the past and it meet our need for a 5 PM seating.<br/ <br/ Staff was very accommodating to our wheel-chaired member and set us at a table that was good for both us and for the staff.<br/ <br/ Beverages to start were a premium glass of wine $9), a Sam Adams seasonal $4.50), and a soda $1.50). As an appetizer, two of us shared the Buffalo Style Fried Calamari $10.95) while our guest had the Chopped Salad $7.95). The Buffalo sauce poured on top of the otherwise typical fried calamari definitely added spiciness. The temperature of the calamari however, was inconsistent; one side of the serving was only warm while the other side was warmer. Possibly the finished plate sat for a bit too long in the kitchen waiting to be picked up by our very pleasant server who was covering several other large parties. The salad was a very large serving that could have easily served all three of us if shared.<br/ <br/ Entrees were Chicken Parmesan $18.95), the fish special of Pacific Salmon $25), and the featured special of Rack of Lamb $30). Our guest said the chicken parm was very good and worth returning for. My wife enjoyed her salmon and the portion was large enough that a portion came home with us. My rack consisted of nine count 'em 9) perfectly cooked lamb chops with a stone cherry reduction glaze. Both the salmon and the lamb were served with fresh mashed potatoes and really young and thin asparagus spears. While I was never asked how I wanted my lamb to be cooked, I would have replied, 'chef 's recommendation ' anyway, so I wasn 't disappointed that they were done rare.<br/ <br/ We some how managed to have room for dessert. Our guest said the Spumoni $6.50) was very good. My wife said she hasn 't had such an enjoyable Carrot Cake $6.50) since Pehls closed in Saratoga over 30 years ago. The portion was so large I had to help her finish it. My dessert du jour of a Crispy Orange Cake with Cannoli Ice Cream $8) was excellent.<br/ <br/ A couple of coffees $1.50 each) and a cappuccino $3.75) were a perfect ending to this Easter dinner. I 'm sure we won 't be waiting as long to return here again.
This place has incredible food! We ordered the buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer. It was scrumptious. We devoured everything in the bowl and on the plate. For our entrees, my husband ordered the gorgonzola steak and I had the pineapple salmon with mixed vegetables. Everything was divine. We somehow saved room for a slice of apple cinnamon cheesecake. I 'm not typically an 'apple cinnamon kind of girl ', but this cheesecake was worth every single calorie. Our sincerest compliments to the chef. Thank you for an amazing culinary experience. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. (PS the pizza smelled heavenly. We are definitely trying a slice next time!
