The Bistro - Santa Barbara

I don't know why, but the Bacara doesn't have the best dining for some reason. I've been to more than one place in here and reached the same conclusion. I grabbed lunch here with a friend and she shared the same experience. The atmosphere and outdoor dining is just great and the service is top notch. Not sure why they're food isn't a reflection of their brand. It's also hard, because if you're not going to eat at the resort, there really isn't much else around that's close.

Beautiful setting, wonderful service, solid menu, creative drinks, creative food. Onestar off for excessive prices.

Staff is above and beyond friendly, accommodating. We asked about specific honey that was served. The Manger went to the back and brought us a sample so we could purchase it in the future. Beautiful views. Great food.

Food is fine. Ambiance is great. Drinks were just ok.. Definitely don't get the Paloma. It's pretty tasteless. The Cobb salad was a good size and the dressing was tasty.

My prior review: If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. We waited over 1 1/2 hr for food. There were no bus boys Cleaning up our table. The food was average. Not coming here again. The server was so great in that she got the whole bill comped.
