Olio Pizzeria - Santa Barbara

Ingredients are not real Italian, nor is the crust. Ordered what we thought was a real Neapolitan margherita DOC pizza—advertised as being topped with San Marzano tomatoes and bufala mozzarella—but received a Pizza Hut-style boring base with cheap mozzarella and tomato sauce. Thankfully the Calabrian chili oil (and chili peppers) provided at the table added some spiciness which countered the mediocrity of the ingredients and technique. The olives and bread provided as a starter were also boring, and the olives overseasoned—again, not true Italian style. For this price, not returning!

Margherita DOC was the best Margherita pizza I've ever head. The olive trio was very tasty as well as the bresaola which is a hard find even at the most authentic Italian restaurants. 5/5. Will go again.

The food and service was amazing! We had several salads including the Di Bietole beet salad which was delish! Can't go wrong with the pizzas as well! Was a little warm inside but overall would recommend.

Delicious Pizza of the day Loved the Tuscan Bean Soup, so tasty and creamy Crepes with Nutella soooooo yummy too Paired with lovely wines Highly recommend this authentic Italien Pizzeria.

I do not remember our servers name We were outside, past the fountain near the back. He was fantastic. Very attentive. Our pizza was perfect!! So was the peach, burrata, arugula salad. Can't wait to visit again ?? ?
