Tova's Tavern - Sanbornton

After reading all the reviews, ours was different. To begin we got there at about 7:45pm, we seated ourselves and got our own menus. (Disappointed that the menu was the same as the other. I would expect Tavern would be a bigger variety) after 15 minutes a waitress took our drink order, 30 minutes later we got our drinks. All this time the bartender visited with 4 people that were loud an obnoxious, (and I am thinking back when I bartended I served the drinks to my tables) especially since he was not doing anything. So we got our dinner order of a pizza and salad in when we finally got the drinks. An hour later we got our meal. During this time I'm people watching and I couldn't help but notice all the food being left on tables that didn't get eaten then I overheard that it was tough or cold. But ours came hot thank goodness. Then another table of four came in and they were ordering drinks via waitress and this gentleman asked for a certain scotch and she said they didn't have it, so he tried with another and again same answer, so he said tell me what kind you do have? And finally went up to the bar himself, he waited for 15 minutes to try to get the bartenders attention away from the 4 people that should have been cut off. Needless to say not impressed. Granted they had a wedding reception, but you need to make sure you have enough staff to take care of everyone.

I had horrible service and I didn't get one of things I ordered and I had to go back to the restaurant to get it. I enjoyed the pools just the restaurant had horrible service.
