Cowshed - San Marcos

Friendly...ish dive bar. Eccentric owner, meh food, good drinks.

Bartender girl with the glasses and somewhat nerdy look was probably the worst bartender I've ever experienced. It took her about 20 minutes to even acknowledge our presence at the bar (during slow time on a Saturday) and when she finally approached us and asked what we wanted, she got irritated and walked away because I didn't give her an immediate answer. It was my first time there and I didn't know what beers they had on tap. She ended up joining a conversation with a couple (probably regulars) across the bar and never came back. Another bartender woman showed up a few minutes later and ended up serving us. Place was super dead and it's honestly kind of a dump. I won't be coming back.

Hard to believe this place is located where it is. But then you realize there's a dairy processor, so it is perfect. Very original place to have a drink and quick bite. You can tell it has its regulars, whom are very friendly. Nice selection of beer and finger food. As in any place, make sure to order the specific liquor brand you want, otherwise they will reach for the bottom of the bottom shelf, with a guaranteed headache.

I nominate this to be the new lesbian bar(n in san marcos. It felt Safe and Fun and a lil Kooky- it was Perfect imo the old white guys that hang around Must stay for they are the Fathers we Needed karaoke, nice spacious yet cozy area, *cow themed*, the occassional drag show it's perfect!

Everyone was so nice when I walked in. Cool place...they have food, you can sing Karaoke, dance, shoot pool , play ping pong or sit out on the patio. Come on down and have a great time.
