Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab

Staff were very friendly. Brownie sundae was a bit smaller than expected. Brownie itself was pretty hard and difficult to break apart. Coconut almon and java coffee ice cream flavors were good.

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!If I could leave negative starts I would! On our family trip we stopped by San Luis Obispo to get some ice cream on Nov. 2nd 2022. We walked in the Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab and there were two girls working the front. My mother bought some ice cream but unfortunately accidentally forgot her Debit Card there while we did some other shopping. She went back and asked for her card back, one of the girls went to the back and took longer than usual to get her card. She brought it back and gave it to her confirming the name on the card. The next couple days my mother received a notification her Debit card had been locked. We looked at the purchases and there was a list of purchases in San Luis Obispo while we were staying in Cambria. Don’t trust anyone at the Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab. They will steal from you!

I was visiting SLO when I came across this amazing creamery to purchase my husbands birthday cake last minute. I was so bummed cause I called and they still had the triple chocolate I should've reserved it because when I got there literally someone just got it and was purchasing it.I know I will be back for their ice cream. I'm a sucker for rocky road so I have to try that next time. Their birthday cake was amazing though. It had the perfect amount of sweetness to it and not to overwhelming.This location is in downtown SLO. Parking is always a hassle because it's downtown so keep that in mind. Also if you're in need of ice cream cakes, come early cause they will run out.

Nice little ice cream shop. Lots of great flavors and fresh tasting. Young lady gave great service with a smile. Only drawback was the numerous flies outside on the patio.

Just what the doctor ordered-their ice cream is extremely creamy and tastes delicious.
