Plur City Cafe. - San Jose

The good: I had a Vietnamese iced coffee for $5. I liked that the menu offered Asian drinks like Thai tea, avocado smoothie, and milk tea. They also served banh mi. This was really surprising considering this is a hospital coffee stand. The coffee had a nice and strong chicory flavor and was made quickly. They're located in front of the main hospital building by the valet parking stand. The bad: It was only 9:36AM and they already ran out of Thai tea. I ordered Vietnamese coffee but it was their last cup and the guy in front of me got a large so the cashier said he only had enough to maybe make me a medium. He filled the cup up with 3/4 ice, poured the pre-made Vietnamese coffee from a pitcher and didn't have enough so he added more ice to get my cup to look fuller. The interesting: Outside of the sandwich they sell bagels, biscotti, madeleines and chips.

The employee was very kind and friendly to me and my daughter, definitely 5/5 due to great customer service!

Come here often before my shift. They are very accommodating and make great drinks. So glad we have a good coffee option here at OCH.

A pleasant surprise in plain sight, and worth coming to O'connel Hospital just for the coffee! I'm pleased to see a local business providing great quality products at competitive price points and they have outstanding customer service. If you've never had Vietnamese coffee then please go right now it's delicious!!! I'd give an extra star if I could, so be a star and get that coffee on from locals who are making a dream come true, and who are committed to elevating others one cup at a time!!!
