Factory Tea - San Gabriel

First time here and super DISAPPOINTING. I came here with my wife to meet some friends that where already there in a karaoke both.I will say that the food and drinks are excellent but the service is lacking.I placed my order at 9:04pm (time stamped on receipt) . Ordered 3 things. 1 drink was ready within 5 minutes. My 2 other items weren't ready until 9:47pm. I gave my wife her drink so she can go join our party while I waited for my drink and food.The young girl noticed I had still been waiting and asked me what order. She looked at my receipt and they forgot to make my particular drink and food. She apologized after she gave me items which is fine.I lost a lot of time that I could have been with my party. Definitely WILL NOT COME BACK. I understand that things happen but this is a huge fluke and do not care to come back here again.

The service here is horrible. I have no idea what's going on with this one girl but when we had a problem with a drink that's supposed to be a slush but was very melted and tasted like an iced drink. We bought it back to them and this girl rudely handled the situation. She just gave an attitude the whole time we were trying to explain it, and when we asked to remake drink she tossed it hard to the trash for no reason at all. I've been coming here since I was in high school and never had this problem. Before when I had a problem with a drink, they would just remake it no problem. I don't want to blame the whole team, it was this girl with a dark blonde hair working night on July 2nd cause she needs better customer service. I just really didn't appreciate that, it was disappointing when it could've been handled better. Ended up getting a refund because my boyfriend and I didn't want to be there anymore.

Oh no, what happened to this place?I got the Flirting with Taro half sweetened and it tasted like water, and maybe not what taro should be. It left more to be desired and I have had way better drinks for $6 . Longer hours vs other boba shopsPlenty of seatingParking available albeit small lotHas arcade games karaoke Accepts credit card I saw a very dated review years ago in which they only accepted cash! This actually makes me realize how mainstream most boba shops have gone with either going cashless or needing to adapt to CC as a form of payment to attract customers :Blackouts circuit breaking at night happened twice on a weeknight! Pretty loud music not really for a conversation Overall, this is more for 20 something year olds maybe teenagers to hang. I don't know how people can study here. It's dark like a lounge and loud like a bar, which may may not be someone's cup of tea.

I have good memories here going karaoke with my friends and I made some good memories again trying some of their new drinks.Rock N Roll: This red oolong milk tea was topped with tiramisu foam which had a good level of sweetness. I would call it more of a dessert drink because it was extra creamy but addictingly good.Peach Oolong Tea Cold Brew with Sea Salt Cream: This one comes unsweetened but the fresh peach and boba add a slight hint of sweetness. The sea salt cream is also delicious and it makes me want to try all the other drinks with the same cream.

This Factory Tea Bar location is definitely a must visit in the SGV for their newly renovated arcade and karaoke rooms. They have Fun House which includes claw machines, ping pong, pool tables, arcade games, and karaoke rooms. I had a lot of fun playing these activities while enjoying their drinks. Parking can be pretty tight in their small parking lot though.Their boba drinks aren't spectacular and are pretty mediocre but they make a nice refresher while hanging out with friends. They have a spacious lounge and plenty of seats available. I tried their newer drinks on the menu which they recently released, the OJ chemistry which is a Jasmine oolong milk tea, and the Aloha which is a tropical ice blended drink. The OJ chemistry was pretty good with a nice blend of Jasmine and oolong and the Aloha tasted like a solid smoothie. Their drinks are decent and they also have pretty unique snacks such as elote fries, but I would mostly come back for their fun activities.
