Café Bastille Sf - San Francisco

Wow! We made a reservation for 6 PM, and I'm surprised the place wasn't packed! Everything here is delightful—the atmosphere, the service, the drinks, and the food. Our server, David, was incredibly helpful with his recommendations and was both patient and efficient. We ordered the escargot, pulpo, fideuà (rice noodles) with squid ink, steak, chocolate ganache cake, and lemon mascarpone cake. We loved every dish. I particularly enjoyed the Lorca cocktail and ended up ordering a second one!

I finally made my way back to the Café after the pandemic, and it hasn't lost its charm. The cocktail menu is impressive, and we enjoyed a few drinks from it. The French Onion Soup is the best we've had in ages, although it’s a bit saltier than usual. The Café Bastille Salad is a fresh and delicious dish that stands out on its own without any added protein. The Quiche Lorraine is rich and cheesy, a true delight. However, the Pommes Frites are outstanding—definitely the best I've had in a long time. If you order them, make sure to enjoy them fresh and hot!

I had breakfast with my mom this morning and it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Brandon, was incredibly attentive and kind. If you haven't tried this place yet, you’re missing out!

We came here for dinner with coworkers. They accommodated a reservation for 12 beautifully and split the check for us! The table was ready for us when we arrived, and we were seated outside as requested. I got the bourguignon and started eating before I remembered to take a photo. I think the complaint that's unique to me is that I wish there was more food. I was still hungry, so I got the lemon cake for dessert. That was also really good!

Visited Café Bastille yesterday for dinner with friends. The location is nice and they have a good outdoor seating setup to accomodate even large groups. The drinks were great but the food I ordered was a let down (see attached picture). I ordered the Café Bastille Salad which is a $16 salad on the menu without any added protein.
