A-bowl - San Diego

Just imagine the scene... next door, a huge line of hungry people waiting to get into an already filled and bustling Chinese restaurant, in contrast, your restaurant with dim sum and noodles and more, is empty... with 1 hour until close. A party of 6 comes in... you kind of seem unhappy and the first thing you tell them is that you 're closing in an hour. The party doesn 't feel welcome and asks, So... if we don 't finish within an hour , are you going to kick us out? You answer. Yeah, probably . What the heck... this occurred on the night of March 20th. Why don 't you just shut your doors down now and not even reopen? Most restaurants I know, like getting big parties when they 're totally dead. If you 're wondering why your restaurant is empty....This is why your restaurant is empty. Needless to say, that is a true story and I was in that party of 6... we went elsewhere. We spent easily over $200; just not at this restaurant. Will most likely never return.

Great Shanghainese style restaurant, pretty much impossible to go wrong here on any orders. I've been 3 times so far and everything from noodles to dumplings to seafood and pork dishes have been great! Wait time is way less than Tasty Noodle House (so far) and food is on par. Only thing I would say is that they have run out of certain menu items each time I've been.

This is the best Chinese food I have had in San Diego!Every item we ordered on the menu was so delicious — too delicious that I even forgot to take photos before we ate it all.Will be back!

Came on a weekday night for take out NO one in the shop and I almost thought I was in the wrong place. What a great place to get away from the crowds in some of the other Convoy shops.I was coming for take out regardless. Food was comparable to neighborhood Spicy City, but a tad sweeter as they veer towards Shanghainese.Pork buns, as oft pictured by other reviewers and gone too quickly for my picture, were as good as raved previously.
