Contribuiți la feedbackThe food here went completely downhill. I don’t know what happened but the lady that was here originally needs to come back because the food was unbeatable. Me and my sister got the Uber bread and they all tasted sour and overly yeasty. The tea was a dark brownish with a tint of purple. This company needs to rehire, or retrain because that was some of the worst Filipino food in San Diego and this place use to be great.
Filipino here, I was excited to order the Tocino all for supporting the business but this isn’t tocino it’s grilled chicken over rice, an egg, and some pickled veggies. I talked to the guy and he reiterated this is tocino it’s not. I’m sure other dishes are good but it’s false advertising to call this anything close to Tocino.
10/10 would recommend!! It was my first time to this part of Liberty Station and as soon as I saw this Filipino restaurant, I knew this was the one!!Great selection to pick from, I went with the pork adobo bowl. Good portion sizing, not too much and not too little. The pork was cooked perfectly and was super easy to bite into.Never doubt the flavor here ever!
I've been seeing White Rice on social media for a while and have been wanting to try it so when we hit up Liberty Public Market, I was excited to see them as a vendor. White Rice is in the corner, in front of an Empanada spot and table seating in front of it. They have a small menu but a good variety of choices. I tried the Lechon Kawali Silog and ube pandesal. Lechon was good, a little bit over cooked so it was more on the drier side. I'm not a fan of Mang Tomas sauce with Lechon, and would rather have banana ketchup, but the garlic rice and vegetables paired really well. The ube pandesal is a must try! The pandesal itself, didn't really taste like ube, but it was fresh and soft, thay it was fine by itself. The ube butter though??? SO GOOOD.I'll definitely be back, I'd like to try more dishes!
My sister and I had the lechon and sisig. Both were as good as I can make it at home. We were both very impressed. Quality ingredients, like honey in calamansi tea is nice touch. Prices are not cheap, but considering location, rent, and competition...
