Sala Suk Chai - Samut Prakan

BTS to Kheha (final station), afterwards 20 minutes taxi and you are at the coast. A must for every Bangkokian, fresh air, stunning views, splendid food are waiting for you. We enjoyed the sunset at this venue right at the sea, the food was fresh, tasty and outstanding. 3 dishes and drinks for just 1000 Baht. The Tom Yam Pakrapong (sea bass), prawns on the grill, papaya salad with crab were all perfect

It's sad, as this could be really nice, OK stainless stéel tables were serviceable 20 years ago but glass and Bamboo composite tables would look nicer. As with the chairs. It could also benefit from a paint job. No credit card facilities in this day and age is hopeless. Menus held together by Gaffer tape isn't exactly professional either. Some of the best dishes were really nice but they weren't on the menu because we are using old ones, you have to ask. It's officially a Naval facility, and with so much cash, I wonder how it's accounted for in the books.

Good place for relaxing. It was a place for dining with family and/or friends. The weather was great with the wind. The atmosphere made me think about the old day.

Location wise, you can reach it by a Golf car with a couple of steps at the end, or walking the pier on foot while enjoying the scenery. They serve local cuisine as most of the customers are locals. You can buy seagulls food on your way out towards the pier, and feed seagulls by hand. The food at the restaurant is good and tasty, but I find it a bit overpriced.
