The Olive Bistro - Salt Lake City

Had a reservation. I have the family ready, which is how Herding cats have all excited them to have some killer crepes, bundled into the car, drive to the restaurant and it was CLOSED. Not cool.

Good food and service. The restaurant is located directly opposite the Capital Theater, so it is very convenient for the Utah Opera and Ballet West performances. The noise level is somewhat high, but there are outdoor seats in good weather. The prices were reasonable and the owner is very friendly and ensures that every table is well maintained.

We had opera cards and this is on the street. Service was friendly but very under par. We ordered an appetizer and they didn't bring any plates for it. When we asked for them, they brought 2 for our 3rd party. No one has erased our dishes even when running desserts. Terrible! For entrees they have the choice of Teriyaki or Chipotle Bbq sauce for chicken and fish. These are neither Mediterranean nor French, so the menu seems to be driven by SYSCO. Stay with the crepes.

Sam was absolutely amazing. He provided us with first-class service and delicious food and wine. Sweet man.

Did not have the staff to prepare our meals. We waited an hour and they hadn't even started our food.
