Deep Sea Bites Food Truck

Went there last night in the parking lot of the Senior Center in Sandy. I was excited for fish and chips and hubby and I both ordered them. It took about 20 minutes which is fine and I really wanted to like them. Sadly, not the case. Fish was burnt but that's not the worst. We ate about one half of fish each and could not eat any more period. The oil it was cooked in was rancid and old. Every bite had this terrible aftertaste. Brushed teeth twice, mouth wash twice. It stayed with us all night. Please please do yourselves a favor and double check the little things that make a HUGE difference!!!! When you shell out almost 35 bucks for take out, the expectation is that you can actually eat it.

I regret not getting a picture before digging into their fish n chips, but man that fried cod with the beer batter is humongous and delicious. Fresh, tender, crispy, and goes perfect with their tarter sauce. The side of fries isn't bad either. However, their steak tacos are disgusting, the beef tasted old but also bland? And the hot sauce tasted extremely vinegary. Now I am unsure if this is just a miss, but I can't imagine any of it was supposed to taste like that, so stop by for the seafood, and definitely don't order the beef.

The fish chips- holy heck. $15 felt a bit high, but you absolutely get what you pay for. 3 huge pieces of fried fish and they don't skimp on the fries. All of it was very good. I was daydreaming about the food the next day lol.

We tried this truck at the WVC gathering last night. The food portions were massive! A for that! Wow, we were blown away when we got our order. We got the fish tacos and i got a half order of the nachos (I think they hooked it up because this thing could serve 5 adults). The food was unfortunately pretty uneventful. Even for my Irish husband that can hardly do annnnnyyy flavor or spice. He was pretty disappointed. Please up the flavor! More salt, more tang!

Overpriced and not that good. would not recommend!!
