JP's Diner - Salmon Arm

It wasn't busy and service was slow. We asked about milkshakes because the table next to us had some and we were told no it was too busy.My husband had the grilled ham and cheese, he's pretty sure it was the cheap processed Kraft cheese slices and it was cold. My daughter's pancake tasted funny and my meal was the most disappointing. My bacon was burnt, my scrambled eggs were undercooked and they used real red potatoes but they tasted pretty raw. I complained and received a whole $2 off my meal. The coffee was also pretty bad.We will not be returning.

Stopped in with the kids and had French toast, pancakes, bacon, and eggs Benny. Service was on the slow side as only one person cooking with about a dozen people in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. On the plus side our server/owner was friendly and kept waters refilled and was overall very attentive. The food was very good and was one of the better breakfasts I have had in salmon arm. Leans towards all scratch made with a few exceptions such as the hollandaise sauce but I can understand why as traffic through the diner was light and they only serve bennies on weekends. It was a better quality packaged hollandaise and the ham, bacon, breakfast potatoes, French toast, and pancakes were all very good. Everything was prepared well and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Price points were very reasonable and lots of parking as they share a location with the travelodge.

Sigh.Really wanted to like this place. Nice easy access, friendly staff - but the food was absolutely atrocious. It was a classic example of a restaurant with few customers trying to cut corners to keep costs down but then what they end up servicing was really really poor.We had 4 meals and the only thing remotely edible were the onion rings. The french fries were possibly the worst i've ever been served. Ever. Any time. They were as limp as spaghetti and as brown as leather. I would suspect they had been double or even triple cooked because the kitchen had so few customers. the burgers look like they might have been ok (seemed remotely homemade) But burnt to a crisp - therefore dry and totally flavourless.the buns. apparently they "ran out of buns" (which seems surprising since there was only 1 other customer the entire time we were there during peak weekend dinner time) and we were substitute what i could only call a small loaf of bread. It took 5 or 6 bites before you even reached the burger.All in all a horribly bad experience and one that I would not recommend to anyone. Oh - prices were very reasonable. Even their "fully loaded Farmer's burger" was only $14 but id rather pay a little more for something thats actually edible.

This was our first visit to this Diner but definitely not our last! Terrific hamburger and truly perfect onion rings. Hubby had a Club Sandwich and fries, all delicious and very generous portions. Service was great and good value. Typical Diner menu, surroundings very clean, friendly atmosphere. Well done.

This diner is just like any other diner. The service was awful! It was extremely slow, despite the fact that the diner was not busy at all.
