Yan Yan Chinese Cuisine - Salem

Everything is always delicious, prepared well and packed well. We really love the fact that Yan Yan does not use that generic brown sauce a lot of Chinese restaurants do their food is fresh, seasoned well, and exceptionally well prepared. Some of the best Chinese American food weve had outside of San Francisco or Boston!

The food was super delicious and warm still, they gave us some free soup. Hig recommend to order from them. Their menu is easy to understand thru door dash.

Dinner special includes choice of steamed rice, one appetizer and one entree. There were probably 12 entrees to choose from, instead of the usual 3 or 4. I chose the Pea Pod Chow Yuk with chicken, along with steamed rice and fried shrimp for the appetizer. The Chow Yuk came with a variety of vegetables in a light, gingery sauce. Not too spicy or over salty. The fried shrimp were still hot from the fryer, and the rice was hot and fresh as well. Along with the usual condiments and fortune cookie, they threw in a free soup as well. Portions were generous, so I will be heating up leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I will order from this restaurant again. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items.

Everything was great. The fried shrimp were hot, and crispy crunchy. Kung Pao is pleasantly hot with a generous portion.

Our food always arrives hot, fresh and delicious. Ive tried numerous menu items and all have been very good. Egg flower soup is always tasty. They are very good about reading notes and adding extra sauces for a fee (which I am happy to pay). One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Salem.
