Wellspent Brewing Co. - Saint Louis

Dropped in here on a late Sunday afternoon and was immediately impressed with the atmosphere. A chill brewery with various board games to play and tamales for sale from The Tamale Man .I ordered the Barrel Aged Quad and it was a damn good barrel aged brew! Would have gotten a second but the 12.5% abv started kickin in and went with Keller Pils and then had the Hoosier Hammer. I got to chatting with the bartender who was also the brewer and he happily answered my beer brewing questions. They also sell canned beer and bottled beers (which I bought 4 bottles of). If you like quality brewed beer which focuses on quality and not quantity, do yourself a favor and check out Wellspent!

Nice inside, but come on... At 9:45 on a Saturday after the STL City game you are gonna tell us you closed? Other bars open, just hang in there till 10:30. Good lord, not asking for much.

Love it. Amazing beer. Ordered more tamales because they were so tasty and they were close to running out. Bought beer to go because it's so good. Can't wait to come back. Sweet potatoes tamales. Ipa with milkshake or lactose elements. Weekday events. Damn.

We came here for our first trivia night. There were five rounds. We lost....like epically lost. However the brewery was fantastic. I got a pink seltzer type drink it was delicious! My husband had a dark lager and loved it. Surprisingly he typically doesn't like dark beer but he really enjoyed this one. They allow pets. It was very clean inside even with multiple dogs. They sell food that is made prior. This night they had tamales with black bean and sweet potatoes. Get them while you can because they do sell out. Service is wonderful. There was one bartender who was consistently helping over twenty people and no one waited more then five minutes. She even walked around and gave the dogs treats.

Not only one of the better breweries in stl, they had one of the best beers I have ever had this past visit. It was a seasonal imperial stout infused with chocolate and cherry! But every time you go it is a great chill vibe, large patio, and creative smooth beer.. tucked away in the heart of midtown. Pretty new so I think it is gaining traction but once the mls stadium goes up I bet this place will be packed all the time!
