Mebar Restaurant - Rutherford

I had a great experience with the full buffet breakfast at Best Western. It was a lovely way to begin the day, with everything we needed right there and friendly staff.

The restaurant at Best Western Plus Hunter Gateway is fantastic and welcoming. The service is attentive and thoughtful, making special dietary needs easy to accommodate. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We stayed at the Best Western next door and part of our package was full buffet breakfast (if not its $20 each adult). Some of my food was not hot as not sure how long they had been sitting in the warmers. Juice was very watered down tasted like fake orange juice, pancakes were tiny, not much cereal variety. Would have been nice to have a fruit salad. Toaster took forever to brown the bread. But hygiene was A+ the worker kept cleaning the surfaces and topping food up cleaning tables. I left at around 9ish and there was only 1 table with people and you were closing in an hour i think for what you charge people prefer to go to Mac Donalds accross the road were you can get a breakfast meal for $10 (which is where I would have gone if i had not have the voucher for buffet). $40 for full buffet for what you had to offer is a bit pricy. But your restaurant is very clean and tidy so thumbs up for that hard to find buffet that is maintain clean and stocked.

For breakfast, one of the meals allowed us to order food fresh (the eggs benedict were particularly delicious), but on the other two occasions, we had to serve ourselves from pre-cooked containers that seemed to have been sitting out for a while based on their temperature and texture. This was not a stellar performance. It would have been nice to see some fresh fruit in juice instead of whole fruits left in bowls for guests to peel. A positive aspect of Mebar is that they offer marmalade as a standard accompaniment to breakfast, which is not always the case in other restaurants serving breakfast.

Fabulous and friendly restaurant at the Best Western Plus Hunter Gateway. Unrushed and considerate service. Special diets a breeze. Thanks for the great night guys!
