Placida Fish Market - Rotonda West

I understand that the limited selection is likely due to the off-season. I bought fresh flounder that the clerk assured me arrived today. However, once I took it home and had a chance to smell and examine it more closely, it seemed like it had been previously frozen. It definitely tasted and cooked like it was frozen as well.

Amazing local fish market; great selection and quality. It is all fresh and local. Definitely a must visit for snowbirds and locals alike.

I didn't buy anything. I was just checking it out because I'm moving closer to this store. Lady was very welcoming and store is very clean. No fishy smell.

Best Fish market in all of Florida! The fish is always fresh and Placida Fish Market adds their own gourmet touches with spices, butter and desserts. As an added bonus the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
