Several friends recommended the place, but not convincing two visits. The first time we fell for the lunch menu, which could sound good, but was little. Second time, other guests were served first, although they arrived later. The pork roast was pure fat with little to no meat and a watery sauce. Krautsalat was almost frozen, in combination with cold drinks, only stomach pain was the result. With local competition high, local stacks must be perfect and not so.
Authentic menu, high quality, large portions, decent prices and, if necessary, English-speaking staff. Must-Go in Rosenheim.
We, a group of four people, were there on New Year's Eve. We had a bit of connecting time between trains and tried to reserve in advance. This did not work for the competition (other restaurant), but contact with Flotzinger Braustuberl was quick, efficient and positive. The reservation was a good idea, as many seats were reserved. But the restaurant is big and so we were able to chat over dinner. On normal weekends it is also well attended. In any case, we were immediately taken to our table and asked about our drink request. Besides the normal card there was also a special New Year's Eve card. We got a small salad, which was very good, and a fish carpacchio as an appetizer. Afterwards, there was a bar master schnitzel, Kaiserschmarrn and a large salad. The food was good, but the fried potatoes surprised me. They looked fried and tasted ok, but the consistency was very soft and unusual. But not bad. The drinks were ok, unfortunately I was the only beer drinker in our party. I had a dark export and that was really tasty. In summer in the beer garden this is certainly unbeatable... All taken together, the beer excellent, the food very good and plentiful.
We were looking for a place to eat and came across Flotzinger Braustuberl. The food was very good (the best food we had in Rosenheim and we went to many top rated places. For your traditional Bavarian experience this is an amazing place. The flavors were great, vegetables cooked just right not over cooked, and service was quick. There were four people taking care of the outside beer garden and they worked so well together. The place was busy and they were handling it just fine... unlike the place we went into in downtown Munich. When we come back we will definitely stop in for dinner.
