The Purple Onion Kitchen - Ros Comain

Last night we had the most amazing three course meal and service at The Purple Onion. A family-run restaurant with very high standards and attention to detail. Pauline is a very successful cook. Next time you are in Termonbarry, treat yourself you will not be disappointed.

Dear food here, food fabulous and staff are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble, great cry to Paul who knows his wines, and how to lift them! Restaurant is immaculate and it is good to see Kovid Certs be checked safely at the door. I hate that I live so far away so that when we visit it, it's really treating. Get some sausages while leaving, they alone are worth the 90 minutes drive.

The best of fine food... wow! Great guide to the extensive range of wines. Unbelievable atmosphere. Nice staff. And a walk through her beautiful Art Gallery afterwards. I can't wait to return. Family too. Well done Paul, Mary son.

Stop for lunch and the fish (hat) and chips were excellent. Low sodium crust, delicate and damp fish, perfectly cooked. I also love that they need a COVID vaccination before entering. You better wait for staff. Great service. Worth a visit!

We have an absolutely fabulous evening here over the weekend a group of 6 siblings. Food was fabulous, attention to detail brilliant friendly service in a delightful setting. A marvellous selection of wines and liquors detailed by Paul who has many a story to tell! Would highly recommend
