Cibo e servizio ottimo. Cucina di gran qualità, piatti deliziosi soprattutto pasta. Un menu piccolo, non di larga scelta, ma di qualità!
What an amazing discovery. great eating and fabulous personal service. that was the best way to finish our last night in italia. after over a month of eating by lazio, umbria and abruzzo we fell on this absolute jewel of a ristoranti. the seafoods were super fresh and the pasta dishes were a homage to the Roman cuisine. the owner gave us a toast grappa and amorone to send us away. arrogant
We had dinner in this charming restaurant. eating was wonderful, although the menu is quite limited. slightly disappointed that one of our first choices was not available, but the waiter was happy to make recommendations (which were excellent) and we were given complementary...local dishes to try. the weinliste is a quirky “Pick one from the shelves” but delivered an excellent and humble local wein. the restaurant is 5 minutes to walk from rom cavalieri waldorf astoria hotel and a small jewel
I ate in this restaurant once before the name change and the renovation and I did not feel that I have to go back. But tonight I visited the “new” restaurant, called sale vino cucina, which is immediately bijou and invites from the outside with fresh...and very modern decor without losing its character. I took my teenage son in a school night, so we ate early, but they took us warm and welcome, although it was technically too early to eat. we were hosted by a wonderfully friendly waitress called claudia, who noticed attentively that my Italian was not native and asked if we would like to speak English. the water and the brot came fast and the owner (I think) led us to two olive oils to taste and to compare with the brot that was served with 3 different salzens. a beautiful beginning! I chose for pannelle (I think they were called) which were described as poor human food from pea flour. what looked up looked like polnta slices, but tasted like the freshest, best cooked chip French frit they could imagine. it came with a red potion relish that made it nicely complicated. not a court I had eaten before, but surely try one again! my son had pasta alla amatriciana, which was very tasty. for the net we both decided for steak and bratkartoffeln, which were rarely cooked. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed by the appearance because it was so simple and strong. no decoration, sauce or gravure, or anything except meat and carrots, but my! flesh and carrots! the steak was thick, perfectly boiled and tender as butter, and the carrots were cooked with rosmarin to taste. we have finished with a tiramisu, a dish that I haven't eaten in restaurants for years, as I think it is overplayed and I have become bored with what the omnipresent restaurant has become with little sext or interest. but this was different, not. it was all as good as my mother and was more wet and gooey in contrast to most others. tasty to the last spoon. the red wine was a monte falco, recommended by claudia the waitress and was smooth and robust. friendly, personal service and an excellent meal in a beautiful environment. comes back in the final!
