Bistrot 64 Al Flaminio Roma

Disappointing. I think it was Jacque Pepin that said something about some modern chefs not actually tasting their food. I felt in this restaurant it was more about presentation than taste. We saw it on Stanley Tucci’s show and went when we were in Rome. Most dishes were way too salty I couldn’t finish them. The amatriciana too salty and starchy. The pork also too salty. Imaginative yes. Was the food good? No. In addition the wine seemed to have been open a bit too long it was by the glass and probably opened a few days before we had it.

It is as a 26 minute car ride from the historic district, we were looking forward to having dinner here, but it was average at best! Really not worth a ride

The tasting menu is a interesting amalgam of colors and flavors. Service was attentive For us the food lacked the wow, we were expecting. Overall not a bad experience but felt for the price we would have had some noteworthy tastes. Did not feel that it incorporated the Roma flavors in any substantial manner. We don’t eat meat, and that may have changed the experience significantly from those who do.

A genuine and authentic English pub in rom near the cuppolone good beer and eat.
