Contribuiți la feedbackStopping by Rock Creek Trading Post on our way to the RockiesNeeded a coffee, and this was one of the few places around.
I don't really go here anymore when I'm in town, even if it is about the only (public) place to get some wi-fi.
After a long drive without any places to stop along the way for coffee, we came across the Rock Creek Trading Post. Finally, we found some coffee and sodas. Although the coffee wasn't the best, it was enough to satisfy us. The Rock Creek is a very authentic place, giving us the feeling of going back in time and being part of a Western movie.
The sign advertised wifi, but upon asking, we were told there was a $1 charge to use it. Disappointing. I understand they need to make money, but really? It seems everyone is downloading movies in the parking lot...We ordered a panini, but it took a long time to arrive. After inquiring twice, we were told that the previous customer had ordered hash browns. An odd mix-up. We ended up eating our food at a table next to dirty dishes left by the previous customers. There were also elderly bikers smoking on the patio. Overall, not a pleasant experience. I would not return to this restaurant, maybe try the one across the street instead.
It has been almost a year since my wife and I visited this restaurant in Rock Creek on our first summer holiday, and I still can't forget the experience. It had a unique and rustic charm that caught my attention. However, once inside, I was disappointed. I tried to use the wifi, but they charged $2.00 for the password and the service was terrible. The staff ignored me, and even a younger member seemed clueless. My wife and I left without being served and we won't be returning. Sorry.
