The Garden Room - Rochford

Visited on a busy Sunday dinner. there were of us including children, all vegetarian except a large table was found for us immediately and a high chair for the small child. the table service was excellent, efficient and very patient, as there were many asking! a bit waiting for the food, but that was quite understandable as they were very busy. the food was excellent, well wait and very good value for money.

We had a lovely visit in the morning at the café. It was busy, but the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed some tea with roasted tea cake, which was all excellent. It was also nice to see the beautiful garden center nearby.

This café/restaurant has always been a wonderful dining spot in a convenient location nearby. They recently expanded one of their areas during the lockdown, making it even better. The homemade cakes and food are delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We recently visited this restaurant for breakfast and were impressed by both the delicious food and the stunning view of the fields. The staff was efficient and friendly, and they were able to accommodate our request to make the vegetarian breakfast vegan. The veggie/vegan sausages were particularly tasty, as was the large hash brown. The mushrooms, beans, and toast were all flavorful, high-quality, and served hot. The waitress diligently checked the ingredients of our cooked breakfast to ensure nothing was cooked in butter, and even provided vegan spread for the toast without us having to ask. It was a refreshing change to find a place that pays careful attention to vegan options. Additionally, we were pleased to see vegan chocolate cakes available, as well as a variety of plant-based milk options for drinks. The only suggestion for improvement would be to clearly mark menu items that are vegan adaptable for easier navigation.

As good as always. Very good food, friendly/helpful staff what more can you say. Wide choice of cakes, sandwiches, hot lunches etc. (During lockdown they have upgraded/extended the restaurant area, giving a nice extra seating area)
