It is very good value for money and most meal combinations will cost about 10. Having been there a few times, the quality tends to depend on what you order. I have found their flame grilled chicken or beef sandwiches to be a bit tough. The sandwich tends to fall apart into a greasy mess with all the sauce and dressing. Their side dishes are OK, their garlic potatoes tend to be bit crispy and overdone. Personally, I would recommend their Bibimbap bowl as it offers good value for money and everything is cooked right there before you rather than something that was sitting for most of the day. Going here is fine for a quick cheap and fast meal, as long as your expectations are not set too high, you will not have a bad meal here.
Good food, you can choose some components of the dish, it is taste and if you are in a hurry you'll like it a lot
Find the Koryo Korean BBQ in the Richmond Centre Food Terrace. Given that I've heard some good comments about the Koryo Korean BBQ I finally decided to savor the experience. The Short ribs were tasty but very much on the tough and chewy side. I suspect that the cook left the ribs on the grill too long, but what can you expect when you observe him constantly flipping your ribs and using a paint roller scraper on your lunch?
We stopped in at the Dining Terrace food court for lunch after shopping. The Dining Terrace is located on the second floor of Richmond Centre. After our usual routine of looking at all the food outlets, we decided to have lunch at the Koryo Korean Barbeque restaurant. We ordered the following specials to share: • Barbeque short rib special with 1 scoop of rice, kimchee, roasted garlic potatoes and mandu (Korean pan fried dumplings like gyoza potstickers) $9.49 • Barbeque beef and chicken with vermicelli, green beans, and broccoli $8.99 Total paid including taxes came to $19.40. Each of the specials also came with your choice of tea or a 16 ounce soft drink. In addition, the specials had 3 other options. 1. 2 scoops of rice and 2 side dishes 2. 3 side dishes and no rice 3. 1 scoop of rice and 3 sides There are 8 12 side dishes displayed. Our order took about 5 to 8 minutes to prepare. My spouse enjoyed her meal however the barbeque chicken (grilled chicken with a teriyaki style sauce) was a little dry slightly overcooked. The barbeque beef tasted similar to the shortribs. The shortribs were moist and tasty. The cold vermicelli was tasty as well. All of the side dishes were served at room temperature. I would have preferred the vegetable dishes and potstickers served hot or at least warm. There was nothing special about the side dishes – okay taste. I was satisfied with my lunch – average tasting food (3 out of 5) and slightly better for the shortribs and portion size (3+ out of 5). I would give the overall food experience 3+ out of 5 rating. Notes Tips • Credit cards are accepted at this outlet • The Dining Terrace food court which has been open since November 1, 2012 took over from the vacated theatre complex. It has undergone a complete transformation resulting in an airy and bright area to enjoy your meal. There are 18 eateries of which 9 have an Asian theme – Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, East Indian and Thai. Other food choices include Quiznos, NY Fries, Greek, A W and KFC. • Clean washrooms in the food court complex and of course wheelchair accessible. There is elevator and escalator access to the food court. • Plenty of parking. • If you park on the second level (parkade near the north end of the mall – mountain side from either the Minoru Boulevard or Number 3 Road entrance), you can enter the Dining Terrace from here; otherwise pedestrian access is via inside the mall. • If you’re coming from Vancouver via the Canada Line, get off at the last Canada Line stop – Brighouse Station and walk across Number 3 Road to the mall. It is a 26 minute ride from Vancouver. • Previously, I have eaten at the Vina Vietnamese outlet and Umi Sushi both at the Dining Terrace. See my reviews. • Check out the mall’s website for additional information.
This restaurant is amazing! The food is delicious and even though the portion sizes seemed small at first, we ended up being very satisfied. My family enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the beef. While the prices were a bit higher than expected, the quality of the food definitely made it worth it.
